Mission to Mars

Curiosity rover is deployed on Mars in August 2012 via the Mars Science Laboratory. This is a particularly impressive machine with a mass of 899 kgSa size allows it to pick 75 kg of instrumentsLe rover is 2.7 m long. The central part of wheeled rover, the "electronic hot box" (warm electronics box or WEB) contains both electronic and scientific instruments to analyze samples of soil and rock. A mast which is located on the front of the housing and which reaches to 2.13 meters, more cameras door, atmospheric probes and laser spectrometer. The remote arm is hinged to the front of the rover and supports the end of the sample collection equipment and two scientific instruments. The rear housing is occupied by the radioisotope thermoelectric generator that overlook the telecommunications antennas.
